The Coronavirus has created a lot of fear and change for us all. Rest assured, Oakcrest Pet Hospital is committed to being here for you and your best friend. We will continue to maintain our normal business hours, but we are taking additional steps to help keep our clients and patients safe. Some of the steps we are taking include the following:
The hospital has implemented new protocols to ensure a healthy environment for all visitors. We are placing additional hand sanitizing units around the hospital and increasing the frequency of our cleaning practices. Likewise, we are spacing out appointments to decrease the volume of people in the practice and giving clients the options of curbside care or in hospital care. If curbside care is chosen, a veterinary technician will meet the client at his/her car and receive the pet. They will go over the treatment plan and the pet will be taken into the hospital to receive the care he/she needs. The doctor can speak to the client via phone or curbside.
Our lobby is now open for clients to have their pets seen by the doctors and to pick up prescriptions, food, and more. We are working quickly to keep wait times at a minimum, but please be patient with us as we make these changes. In addition, doggie daycare has resumed and we have added a new "puppy daycare" day on Wednesdays. Call us for details!
We are asking individuals that are sick or at a high risk of illness to stay home. This includes staff members and visitors. If you have a sick pet that needs to be seen, please call our office and we will discuss the best way for your pet to receive the care he or she needs. This may include telecommunication via Skype or using our Pet Pick-Up service.
In addition, if you need medication or food for your pet, we would be happy to deliver the items to your house so you do not have to come to the hospital. We have Personal Delivery Service and an Online Pharmacy to meet your needs.
The situation caused by the Coronavirus is constantly evolving and we will continue to make changes to our hospital as the needs arise. Please check our website or Facebook page frequently for updates or call us with any concerns you have.
As always, thank you for trusting us with your pet's veterinary care. It is a joy to have you and your best friend at our hospital.
